OVERVIEW

Basic Patience, also known as Klondike, is an ageless individual card game admired for its simplicity and strategy. Employ a standard pack of cards to construct four foundation piles, each representing a different suit, arranged in ascending sequence from Ace to King. With thoughtful planning and tactical moves, reveal concealed cards and complete the tableau.


GUIDELINES

  1. Setup:
  • A shuffled deck is organized into seven columns.
  • The first column contains one card (face-up), the second has two cards (one face-up, one face-down), and so forth, with the seventh column containing seven cards (one face-up).
  1. Gameplay:
  • Arrange Tableau: Organize cards in descending order (King to Ace), alternating colors (e.g., Red 7 on Black 8).
  • Uncover Cards: Shift face-up cards to reveal hidden ones.
  • Transfer to Foundation: Move cards to the four foundation piles, arranged by suit in ascending order (Ace to King).
  • Draw from the Stock Pile when no moves are available in the tableau.

  • Organize all cards into the foundation piles to achieve victory in the game.
